Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 11, 2026

Welcome to ogis.dev, a service for generating Open Graph and similar images via API. These terms govern your use of the service. By signing up or using the API, you agree to them.

ogis.dev is operated by James Ding, based in California, USA.

1. Your account

You need an account and API key to use ogis.dev. Keep your API keys secret. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account. If something looks wrong, email us at security@ogis.dev.

You must be at least 18 to use the service.

2. Acceptable use

Don’t use ogis.dev for anything illegal or to generate content that:

  • Sexually exploits minors (we report CSAM to NCMEC and cooperate with law enforcement)
  • Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive: no adult content of any kind, regardless of whether the depicted parties are consenting adults
  • Infringes someone else’s intellectual property
  • Harasses, defames, or threatens others
  • Impersonates someone to deceive
  • Contains malware or is used for phishing

Also don’t:

  • Try to evade rate limits or quotas
  • Resell ogis.dev as a competing OG image API
  • Reverse engineer the service
  • Use the service in ways that could get us in legal trouble

If you violate this, we may suspend or terminate your account without notice.

3. Your content

The SVG templates, render parameters, and image URLs you submit are yours. You give us a license to process, cache, and render them so the service works.

You’re responsible for everything you submit, including image URLs you pass as render parameters. We don’t pre-screen content. If you point us at an image URL, we trust you have the right to use that image and that it doesn’t violate these terms.

4. Pricing and credits

  • Free tier: monthly render limits are published on the pricing page. Subject to fair use; we can suspend obvious abuse.
  • Paid usage: prepaid wallet at current pricing posted on ogis.dev.
  • Wallet credits: don’t expire while your account is active, don’t earn interest, have no cash value outside the service.
  • Charges appear as: TWANGO.DEV on your statement.
  • Taxes: not included; you handle any taxes that apply to you.

5. Refunds

We’ll refund unused credits if:

  1. You request it within 14 days of purchasing those credits, AND
  2. None of the credits from that purchase have been used.

Email billing@ogis.dev from your account email. Outside this window or once any credits are used, refunds aren’t available, though we may make exceptions at our discretion.

6. Service availability

ogis.dev is provided “as is.” We try to keep it running but don’t guarantee uptime. We’re not liable if a render fails, the service goes down, or your link previews break as a result. Don’t build mission-critical infrastructure on a side project’s free tier.

7. Abuse reports

If you see ogis.dev being used to host illegal content or violate these terms, email abuse@ogis.dev. We’ll investigate and act.

8. Termination

You can close your account anytime by emailing support@ogis.dev. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, if we’re required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. Unused credits may be forfeited if you’re terminated for violating these terms.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to ogis.dev is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid us in the past 12 months, or (b) $100. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (lost profits, lost data, downstream effects on your business, etc.).

10. Indemnification

If someone sues us because of your content or your use of the service, you agree to cover our legal costs and any damages.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we’ll email you or notify you in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by California law. Any disputes go to the state or federal courts in Alameda County, California.

13. Contact
